Kevin Levin at National Archives: Searching for Black Confederates—

Or I really do not want to find any real facts by Kevin Levin.

Al Mackey is promoting Levin’s lack of any real research at https://studycivilwar.wordpress.com/2019/09/27/kevin-levin-at-national-archives-searching-for-black-confederates/

The video description read — The video’s description reads, “More than 150 years after the end of the Civil War, scores of websites, articles, and organizations repeat claims that anywhere between 500 and 100,000 free and enslaved African Americans fought willingly as soldiers in the Confederate army. But as Kevin M. Levin argues in Searching for Black Confederates, imprecise contemporary accounts, poorly understood primary-source material, and other misrepresentations helped fuel the rise of the black Confederate myth.”

Let’s just take a look at this description shall we?  I will not give any examples here but those wanting to read some actual facts can visit my research at — http://negrosingrey.southernheritageadvancementpreservationeducation.com/page.php?

For one Levin has refused to acknowledge any documented sources that are easy to find by putting his own spin on the sources. How can anyone mis-understand the primary sources?  They either say a person served or not. It is just that simple. Who misrepresents anything? Not us but Levin, he bases his OPINION on the word slave. Now what does a person status have to do with fighting ? It does not prove one way or the other that this slaves was not armed and did not take part in any battle as a combatant.

Now I have challenged Levin, Mackey and several others to a civil debate, but they refuse. If they do answer it is in the form of insults or other demeaning comments. They love to refer to these Negroes as only teamsters, cooks and other non-combat roles such as nurses. That however is their undoing since these people were either enlisted or serving the Confederate army. I have posted a link to my research, Mackey you and Levin are most welcome to visit and post your opposing view if you think you have the knowledge to prove me wrong.

I’ll be waiting as usual.

Now once again I challenge anyone to prove this person did not serve the Confederacy . Prove that SHE did not bear arms ——

Now folks this is the sort of records that sometimes found.

There are a couple of  things I would like to know, why is Levin, Mackey and some of their cronies so hell bent on lying and trying to prove there is no such thing as a Black Confederate.  Two why is so hard to get an opposing view published by the Nation Archives.
